Russian beerkraut ham!
1 bottle of beer
spices: marjoram, gralic, peppers, onion
Heat the oven to 200 degrees. Fry the onion on the pan, add spices. Add sauerkraut and beer and let it boil briefly (parboil). Put the ham (I use seitan that I've marinated well overnight) on a oven tray and cover it with sauerkraut stew. Bake as long as the ham is done (mine takes about 1 1/2 h). You can also add smetana on the sauerkraut to give it a nice golden brown color.
